The Hot and Steamy day of August 2nd found Shelley Hight and I wading along the Millers. I found the first Rusty Snaketail in almost a month and Shelley found this rather small Wood Turtle resting in shallow water along the bank

The plastron (lower shell) was 85 mm in length this, the notch at the posterior end of plastron, thick tail with anus showing past the shell hinge, and slight concave plastron, making us believe this to be a young male.
